PLANNING THE EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES
There are millions of languages all over the world, although we have never heard about most of them. We don't realize how important are they, but they are essential for our daily life. It's true that nowadays most people know English but the less known languages are part of the culture of each country. But there are some exceptions because countries which had been colonies, had taken the language of the colonising country, such as Madascar which has as first language French.
The 26th of September is the European day of languages and we celebrate it to make us remember that there are more languages than English, Spanish or Chinese.
We are going to do some activities to celebrate it at school:
1- Video: We are going to film some people speaking foreing languages
2- Game: It consists in doing words with the body
